This is a calculator for the City of Boston’s Community Choice Electricity Program. Use the calculator below to compare the electricity supply costs of the products offered through the program. The calculator also shows the additional greenhouse gas reductions each product achieves when compared to products that only meet the minimum renewable energy content required by Massachusetts law (“MA REQ”). The MA REQ for 2024 mandates that 24% renewable electricity be provided to customers through the purchasing of Massachusetts Class I Renewable Energy Certificates (“MA Class I RECs”).

Please note: Your electricity DELIVERY costs are not affected by your participation in the Program and are not included in these calculations.
